Our flashcards system
The positions you fail are the positions that need the most attention. That is why, in Reperto, mistakes can become flashcards so you can practice them again later.
Our spaced repetition system is inspired by methods like Anki, but adapted to opening training: when you get a flashcard right, it appears again after 2, 5, 10, 15, and 30 days. If you fail it, it becomes available immediately so you can correct it.
Learn from mistakes and review better
After practicing comes an equally important part: reviewing where you failed. Every mistake in a line is telling you that there is a position you still do not master, a move you need to train again.
That is why simply moving on to the next variation is not enough. You have to come back to the mistakes, understand why they happened, and review them.
For that, we designed Reperto’s flashcards system. When you fail a position during training, that position can become a flashcard so you can practice it again later. That way, you do not review everything equally: you give more attention to the positions that really give you trouble.
An improvement system for your repertoire
The idea is to practice your openings and keep storing your flashcards. This way, when you review a file, you already have a starting point: all those failed positions.
That is how Reperto connects practice and review. Your mistakes stop being isolated failures and become part of the system that tells you what to study next.
